IL2CPP build fails when changes to C#’s async state machine-generated code are made
Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached project "ReproProj"
2. Open the “/Assets/Scenes/ReproScene.unity” Scene
3. Open File > Build Profiles
4. Click Build and Run
Expected result: Build succeeds
Actual result: Build fails with the Error “System.ArgumentException: Invalid global variables count (Parameter 'globalVariables')“
Reproducible with: 2022.3.62f1, 6000.0.55f1, 6000.1.16f1, 6000.2.0f1, 6000.3.0a4
Testing environment: Windows 10 Enterprise 21H2, macOS 15.5 24F74 Darwin 24.5.0
Not reproducible on: No other environment tested
