Hub prevents the ejection of an external drive when a project was opened on it
Reproduction steps:
1. Open Unity Hub
2. Launch a project located in an external drive through the Hub
3. Close the opened project
4. Open Activity Monitor and observe that no Editor processes are running (close them if there are)
5. Open Finder and try to eject the external drive
Expected result: The drive is ejected
Actual result: “The disk <DISK NAME> couldn’t be ejected because “Unity Hub” is using it.” error appears preventing ejection of the drive
Reproducible with: 3.7.0
Reproducible on: macOS Sonoma 14.3.1 (M1) (user’s)
Not reproducible on: No other environment tested
Notes:
- The issue could not be reproduced locally by CQA
- The user reported that even after closing the Hub, the issue persists but the error message does not mention Unity Hub
