I am also building a game with procedarully generated terrains, and currently Detail objects are not appearing in the build.
I can get Terrains to generate, and Terrain Layers to appear correctly with proc gen terrains.
But I can't get Detail Objects (Billboard Grass or Detail Meshes) to appear in the build, as of 2021.2 onwards.
It still works correctly in 2021.1.28, which was the last version before the new GPU instanced detail objects came in.
Please fix this very important issue, so that procedurally generated games can work again.
This is a big issue, and blocking my project I've been working on for 5 years from being able to continue.
