Emojis do not appear in an input field when selecting one of them from an Emoji Keyboard in a WebGL build
Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached "IN-97653" project
2. Build and run a WebGL build
3. Select the “Enter text…” input field
4. Open the Emoji Keyboard window (Win + “.” on Windows and Command + Control + Spacebar on macOS)
5. Select any emoji from the Emoji Keyboard
6. Observe the input field
Expected result: The emoji appears in the input field
Actual result: The emoji does not appear in the input field
Reproducible with: 6000.0.45f1(d91bd3d4e081), 6000.1.0b13, 6000.2.0a8
Could not test with: 2022.3.60f1(“'TMP_Settings' does not contain a definition for emojiFallbackTextAssets” error)
Reproducible on: Windows 11, macOS 15.3.2 Sequoia (User)
Not reproducible on: No other environments tested
Workaround: Copy and pasting emojis into the input field from other sources

Thank you for reporting a bug to Unity.
We have reviewed the issue carefully, and in this case we have determined that the observed behaviour is expected, as emoji handling on the web has not yet been fully implemented. As a next step, we will document this as a feature request for potential future consideration.
