[DX12] [Win11 ARM64] Machine crashes and restarts while trying to create a new project
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a new project
- If editor is fully loaded without issues, leave it open for 5minutes to couple hours
Actual results:
Machine crashes and restarts
Expected results:
Editor works as expected and machine does not restart
Reproducible with versions:
6000.2.15f1, 6000.3.3f1, 6000.4.0b3, 6000.5.0a4
Not reproducible with versions:
6000.0.64f1
Tested on (OS):
Win 11 ARM64
Windows Version: 25H2
OS Build: 26200.7462
Notes:
- Does not reproduce 100% of the time
- After running some automation tests it gets to a state where just creating a new project restarts the machine and can be reproduced multiple times
- Also leaving editor open for a period of time (5minutes - couple hours) also results in system restart
- Windows report a DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION (0x133)
- This reproduces on two different machines with same specs:
** CPU - Snapdragon(R) X Elite - X1E80100 - Qualcomm(R) Oryon(TM) CPU (3.42 GHz)
** RAM - 64.0 GB (63.5 GB usable)
* GPU - Qualcomm(R) Adreno(TM) X1-85
Ran Furmark and Cinebench for stress testing the machines and all tests pass
- Forcing to create a new project on DX11 seems to be working as expected
