Crash with "Animator.Update" within "StateMachineBehaviour.OnStateEnter"
Reproduction steps:
1. Open attached project.
2. Open "scene" scene.
3. Play the scene.
4. Select "Main Camera" game object in hierarchy tab.
5. Go to "window" > "Animator" and select "Parameters" tab.
6. Turn "New Trigger" trigger parameter on.
7. Unity crashes.

If you can't update Unity and you're stuck with this issue, you can get around it by sticking your code in LateUpdate().

Same problem. When i call Animator.Update Unity crashes
