Cinemachine Third Person Follow Component is Missing a Warning Message when the Cinemachine Camera has no Tracking Target assigned

Package: Cinemachine

-

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open any Project with Cinemachine installed
  2. Select any Game Object in the Scene Hierarchy and add the "Cinemachine Camera" Component
  3. In the Component open the dropdown menu for "Position Control" and set it to "Third Person Follow"
  4. Observe the Warning icon near the dropdown menu and the Cinemachine Third Person Follow Component

Actual results: Warning icon with tooltip is present indicating an issue with the Third Person Follow Component, but no Warning is present on the "Cinemachine Third Person Follow" Component

Expected results: There is a Warning message that the Third Person Follow Components needs a Tracking Target assigned in the Cinemachine Camera just like other types of Position Control

Reproducible with versions: 3.1.0, 3.1.4

Not reproducible with: 3.0.1

Tested on (OS): Windows 11

  1. Resolution Note (fix version 3.1.5):
