Blue docking indicator line is larger than Scene window left and right side docking areas
Reproduction steps:
1. Create a new project
2. Dock Overlays to the docking areas on left or right sides of Scene view
3. Observe blue docking indicator line in the docking area
Actual result: Blue docking indicator line sticks out beyond the docking area boundaries
Expected result: Blue docking indicator line matches the size of the docking area
Reproducible with: 6000.3.3f1, 6000.4.0b3, 6000.5.0a4
Couldn’t reproduce with: 6000.0.65f1 (No left and right side docking areas)
Reproduced on: macOS Tahoe 26.1 (M4)
Note: Make docking area smaller if the issue doesn’t reproduce

The side panels are expending when docking new larger overlays in them. The idea of the placeholder is to show the future width of the panel when placing an wider overlay in it.
We will close this case as 'As Designed.' If you have feedback on how the feature could better meet your needs, please let us know - we value your input and consider it in future improvements.
