Assets in the Project Window are incorrectly sorted when different Asset types have the same name
Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached “BugProjectBrowserFieSort.zip” project
2. Navigate to the Resources folder (Assets > Resources)
3. Observe the sorting of the Assets
Expected result: Same-name items are sorted alphabetically based on their file type
Actual result: Some same-name items are sorted incorrectly, the “.cmp” file type comes before the “.asset” file type
Reproducible with: 2022.1.0a3, 2022.3.25f1, 2023.2.19f1, 6000.0.0b15
Not reproducible with: 2021.3.37f1, 2022.1.0a2
Reproducible on: Windows 11
Not reproducible on: No other environment tested
Note:
- Dragging the “Team README.txt” Asset into the Resources folder, fixes the sorting
