Assets are not created from drop down menu if any projectSettings are opened in inspector
To reproduce:
1. Create a new project
2. Open any projectSettings(i.e. Editor)
3. Create any asset using Assets drop down menu(gif attached)
Expected: selected asset will be created
Actual: Assertion failed on expression error is thrown
Reproduced 2017.2.0b1, 2017.2.0p4, 2017.3.0a7, 2017.3.0f1, 2018.1.0a6
Not reproducible: 5.6.4p4, 2017.1.2p3
Note: creating assets using RMB works properly
