[AssetImport] Upon a project in Unity errors are shown concerning UnityEditor.UI.dll and UnityEngine.UI.dll
To reproduce:
(Warning) Timestamps (123) and assets (121) maps out of sync.
(Error) Asset '/Applications/Unity/Unity.app/Contents/UnityExtensions/Unity/GUISystem/Editor/UnityEditor.UI.dll' is in timestamps but is not known in guidmapper...

The errors are shown only when opening the project for the first time.

I'm still getting this problem on 5.0.2f1. Won't fix won't do it. How to fix this?

Same error and behaviours described by others. After renaming an asset folder and re-starting unity, the below error occurs and many UI items are messed up.
'/Applications/Unity/Unity.app/Contents/UnityExtensions/Unity/GUISystem/Editor/UnityEditor.UI.dll' is in timestamps but is not known in assetdatabase...

Met with the same problem. I moved any gameobjects I had in that folder directly into Unity, then deleted both the folder and meta file from Finder and created a new folder. Not sure if this is recommended but it worked

I experience this error every time I open my project. I begin to get this error when I started to add UI elements to my project. And I created a folder in my my assets/script folder, I named it UI, Unity changed it to Ui, then the folder disappeared but was still available in my finder. Asset '/Applications/Unity/Unity.app/Contents/UnityExtensions/Unity/GUISystem/Editor/UnityEditor.UI.dll' is in timestamps but is not known in guidmapper...

I am receiving this error overtime I open my project in 5.0.1

It began after I renamed a folder in the project panel and then folder then disappeared (even tho it still existed in the finder).
