A "TextMesh Pro Essential Resources are missing" Console error is thrown when TextMeshPro Settings are selected in the Project Settings window
How to reproduce:
1. Create a new project
2. Open the Project Settings
3. Import the Essential Resources (if required and allowed)
4. Open the “Settings” section under “TextMesh Pro“
5. Observe the Console
Expected results: No error is thrown in the Console
Actual results: An error is thrown in the Console
Reproducible in: 2023.3.0a2, 6000.0.5f1
Not reproducible in: 2021.3.39f1, 2022.3.33f1, 2023.2.0a23
Reproduced on: Windows 11 Pro (23H2)
Not reproduced on: MacOS 13.6.4 (M1, 2020), No other environment tested
Notes:
- The full error reads: “TextMesh Pro Essential Resources are missing, which are crucial for proper functionality. To import them, go to 'Window > Text Mesh Pro > Import TMP Essential Resources' in the menu.“
- Only reproducible when the “Settings“ is selected after selecting the “TextMesh Pro“
- In version 2023.2.0a23 the issue exists, but after the error, a box with the options to install the Essential Resources appears allowing to install them the second time, which solves the issue until the project restarts
