[macOS][High Sierra] Operating System freezes when changing Cache Server Mode multiple times

MacOS

-

Whole OS freezes when changing Cache Server Mode between Local and Remote multiple times.

Steps:
1. Create a New Project
2. Unity > Preferences > Cache Server
3. Cache Server Mode: Remote, Check Connection
4. Change Cache Server Mode: Local
5. Repeat from step 3

Result: whole Operating System freezes, work stop, a manual restart of the whole computer is required.

Reproduced with: 2017.1.1p3.

Reproduced in Unity 5.6.4f1 while switching between iOS and Android platforms.

It not only freezes when changing cache settings. It freezes on open of some projects. It does appear related to the local cache. Opening another project, disabling the local cache in the setting then allows me to open the project that was freezing.

That said, we're working on a multiplatform project with a lot of assets and the import on switching is painful without the reliable use of a cache. Thanks.

I am getting the same. Have to force power off as completely hooks up. Did an uninstall and install and could use the demo asset scenes but once saved or trying to create a new project it hooks up.
