Is this fix planned for one of the coming 2017.4 LTS releases? So far, all 2018.X beta versions have been breaking other things in our project, so fix in the 2017.X line of Unity would be highly appreciated.

Can confirm that UnityWebRequest works just beautiful in the beta Unity 2018.1.0b13 (64-bit).

Both x86 and x64 works when deployed to Mixed Reality uwp (Samsung Odyssey)

2017.3.1 patch P2 doesn't fix it either. Latest unity beta (2018.1.0b8) still doesn't fix this. Anyone using this for loading asset bundles in UWP is currently stuck in 2017.2 with older version of Vuforia (for example). This needs to be fixed asap.

Bug is still active in 2017.3.1 and the patch (P1) doesn't fix it. When exactly is this going to be fixed? Is there a workaround?
