Regression
No
White pixel fragments and spots randomly appear and flicker when a specific Reflection Probe is enabled
Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached “IN-52580_Sponza 2023 (2).zip“ project
2. Open the “OutdoorsScene”
3. Enter Play mode
Expected result: No flickering white pixel fragments or spots appear
Actual result: White flickering pixel fragments and spots appear
Reproducible with: 2023.2.0b7, 2023.3.0a3
Could not test with: 2021.3.30f1, 2022.3.8f1, 2023.1.11f1 (lighting not working properly and errors after downgrading)
Reproduced on: Windows 11 Pro (22H2)
Not reproduced on: No other environment tested
Notes:
- The “Reflection Probe” GameObject is producing the issue and seems to be causing problems with downgrading and stripping the project
- Most of the white pixel fragments get blurred by the “Sky and Fog Volume” when Fog is enabled
- The fragments that are not blurred are more difficult to see in Game view but they are still there
- The fragments are the most visible on the “Details_Door_A001” GameObject but can be seen elsewhere as well
- Could not reproduce on a new project
- The user’s project seems to be pulled (or at least using the scene or assets) from [https://github.com/Unity-Technologies/Classic-Sponza|https://github.com/Unity-Technologies/Classic-Sponza]
- Could not test with a newly pulled “Classic-Sponza” project due to asset import errors
- Unable to strip the project with Repro Project Wizard (lighting not working properly and errors after stripping)
- Reproducible in Player
