[WebGL][Safari] "Fullscreen is not supported on this browser." error is thrown when trying to enter fullscreen mode

How to reproduce:
1. Create a new project with the default 3D template
2. Make a WebGL build
3. Host the WebGL build
4. Open the built WebGL Player in Safari browser
5. Try to enter the fullscreen mode (bottom-right button under the Player)

Expected result: Fullscreen mode is activated
Actual result: "Fullscreen is not supported on this browser." error is thrown in the Developer Console

Reproducible with: 2020.1.15f1 ,2020.2.2f1, 2021.1.0a3
Not reproducible with: 2018.4.31f1, 2019.4.18f1, 2020.1.14f1

  1. Resolution Note (fix version 2021.1):

    Fullscreen mode has been re-enabled for Safari, and the canvas will now correctly fill the screen. Fixed in Unity 2021.1.0a4

    Also still doesn't work with Unity 2021.1.28
    The button triggers something, but it just barely fits half of the screen and the rest is black

    still doesnt work in Unity 2021.1.9f1 on latest IPad with iOS 15.x

    I should have stated the brower that doesn't work is safari for 2021.1.0a4

    I downloaded 2021.1.0a4 and the fullscreen works but the canvas does not scale to fit the display. Works fine in all other browsers though.
