I believe they mean disabling exceptions in the Exception Settings Window (Debug > Windows > Exception Settings). Unchecking "C++ Exceptions" and "Common Language Runtime Exceptions" is usually sufficient.

I have this same problem, could you please indicate how to disable the exception support in VS?
