[VR|SPS|Mac] On Mac in Vertex Lit mode with Single Pass Stereo all geometry is unlit

I have a simple scene with four capsules lit by a directional light. In Player settings I chose Mock HMD and Single Pass Stereo.

In Play mode on Mac the geometry appears unlit and black.

The problem does not occur if I switch to Multi Pass Stereo.

The problem does not occur on Windows using either Single Pass or Multi Pass Stereo.

This bug occurs in Unity 2017.2.0f3 as well as recent trunk. The bug does not occur on Mac with SPS using Unity 5.6.4p1. I wonder whether the bug may have been introduced when we changed the Split-Screen Stereo VR SDK to use asymmetric viewing frustums.
