Video frames misalign when shifting backward during a paused playback
Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached “repro_IN-85752” project
2. Open the “Assets/Scenes/SampleScene.unity” Scene
3. Enter the Play Mode
4. After some time, press the “Spacebar“ button to pause the timer
5. Continuously press the “Left Arrow“ key to shift frames backward
Expected result: Video frame matches the expected frame
Actual result: Video frame may show frames from before or after the expected frame
Reproducible with: 2021.3.45f1, 2022.3.51f1, 6000.0.24f1
Reproducible on: Windows 10 (22H2)
Not reproducible on: No other environments tested
Notes:
- Reproducible in Player
- Reproducible on both DirectX11 and DirectX12
- Not reproducible on Vulkan
- Continuously pressing the “Right arrow“ key to shift frames forward doesn’t reproduce the issue
- If you’re not able to reproduce the issue, try on a weaker GPU, as the user was able to consistently reproduce the issue on NVIDIA Quadro M4000 and I was able to consistently reproduce the issue on NVIDIA Quadro P400
- Able to reproduce on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080, but inconsistently
