Unity freezes when entering and exiting Play Mode often while using Rect Transform
How to reproduce:
1. Open the attached project (ownCloud link below)
2. Enter Play Mode
3. Exit Play Mode
4. Repeat 2-3 steps few times for the Editor to freeze
Actual results: editor freezes
Expected results: editor doesn't freeze
Reproducible with: 2017.2.4f1, 2017.4.13f1, 2018.1.9f2
Not reproducible with: 2017.1.5f1, 2018.2.12f1, 2018.3.0b6, 2019.1.0a5
Fixed in: 2018.2.0b1

I have the same issue, it freezes when I enter Play. I made few minor changes to Prefabs before it started freezing, but this is really annoying. I tried to close and reopen Unity for at least 5-6 times, but the situation does not change. it freezes each time when I hit a play button. any suggestions please?
