Steps to reproduce:
1) Create a new project in Unity
2) Open C4D
3) Save a native file from C4D to Unity's Asset Folder
Note : You should receive this error Copying /Applications/Unity/Unity.app/Contents/Tools/Unity-C4DToFBXConverter to /Applications/MAXON/CINEMA 4D R18/plugins/Unity-C4DToFBXConverter: No such file or directory"

Plugin is installed, but when I try to import native c4d file it shows
Cinema 4D couldn't convert the .c4d file to an .fbx file.
Try exporting the .c4d file to an .fbx file manually.
UnityEngine.GUIUtility:ProcessEvent(Int32, IntPtr)
When I convert it manualy I loose reflection and transparency of glass like material
Using unity 2018.3 and cinema4d R20.30

I just hit CANCEL instead of FORCE QUIT or TRY AGAIN in the pop up dialog. After that Unity ask me for my system password to install the plugin. Strange but works for me... good luck!

The plugin when installed from Unity 2017.3.0f3 says that the plugin is built for Cinema 4D R18.0.20. Make sure you are running that version or higher of Cinema 4D, so check for updates under Help > Check for Updates. This fixed it for me.
