Transfer<JSONWrite> crash when editing NodeCanvas Behaviour Trees with Visual Studio

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open QA-supplied project "NodeTest.zip"
2. Open Scene called "MainScene"
3. Select Canvas GameObject
4. In the Inspector window, under Behaviour Tree Owner (Script) select EDIT BEHAVIOUR TREE
5. Under Canvas window that opened up, double-click "START" tab to open it in Visual Studio

Expected: Visual Studio opens up and the User is able to edit the script
Actual: Once the Visual Studio fully loads up the script, Unity crashes

Reproduced in: 2017.3.0a1, 2017.3.1p1, 2018.1.0a4
Not Reproduced in: 2017.1.3p2, 2017.2.2p1, 2018.1.0a5, 2018.1.0b10, 2018.2.0a3

Note: the crash only reproduces when opening the script with Visual Studio, other scripting software do not seem to replicate the same outcome.
The issue appeared in 2017.3 has been fixed in 2018.1.0a5.
