The message "No occlusion data has been baked" is misleading
After the baking progress bar is complete, but before the data info is displayed (at the bottom of the Occlusion window) the info: "No occlusion data has been baked" is displayed
So it seems for a moment, that the bake was unsuccesfull for some reason. After a few moments - depending on the size of the scene - the occlusion data info shows.
