The material preview object button does not work
Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached “Repro“ project
2. Select the “Assets/humanoid/Normal.mat“ Material in the Project window
3. Press the button next to the Play button in the Preview Window’s Menu bar to change the shape of the preview object
4. Select the “Assets/humanoid/Ghost.mat“ Material in the Project window
5. Press the button next to the Play button in the Preview Window’s Menu bar to change the shape of the preview object
Expected result: The shape of the preview object changes instantly
Actual result: The shape of the preview object doesn’t change and requires the asset to be reselected
Reproducible with: 2023.2.0a20, 2023.2.7f1, 2023.3.0b4
Not reproducible with: 2021.3.34f1, 2022.3.18f1, 2023.2.0a19
Reproducible on: M1 MacOS 14.2
Not reproducible on: No other environment tested
