The InputSystem "Submit" action is invoked prematurely when the Trigger Behavior is set to "Release Only"
How to reproduce:
1. Open the “InputSystemUIInputModuleSubmitInteractionFail.zip“ project
2. Open the “SampleScene“
3. Enter the Play Mode
4. Press on the Text Field and press the Enter key on the keyboard (to focus the Text Field)
5. Press and hold the Enter key
6. Observe the Console window
Expected results: the log “SUBMIT HANDLER“ appears only on release of the Enter key
Actual results: the log “SUBMIT HANDLER“ appears right when the Enter key is pressed
Reproducible in: 1.7.0 (2021.3.36f1, 2022.3.22f1, 2023.2.17f1), 1.8.1 (2021.3.36f1, 2022.3.22f1, 2023.2.17f1, 6000.0.0b13)
Reproduced on: Windows 11 Pro (23H2), macOS 13.6.4 (Reporter’s machine)
Not reproduced on: No other environment tested
Notes:
- The issue is reproducible in the Player
- The Input System is not installed through the Package Manager, as the scripts had to be changed to show the Log message
