The Editor crashes in utf16_to_utf8_len due to the specific plugin
To reproduce:
1. Open the project, attached by the user (pv-plugin-v2.zip)
2. Open "w.i.p" scene
3. Enter Play mode
Expected: the Editor doesn't crash when using the specific plugin
Reproduced in 5.6.1p4, 5.6.3p1, 2017.1.0p5, 2017.2.0b8, 2017.3.0a5
Could not test for regression due to quite a few errors in the console
Fixed in 2017.3.0a7
