[macOS] Text input lags by one keystroke when inputting text in the Editor
How to reproduce:
1. Open the attached project "bugRepro"
2. In the Project window, right-click the Material "renameMe" and select Rename (Assets/renameMe.mat)
3. Type in a new name
Expected result: Typed symbols show up instantly
Actual result: Typed symbols show up with an input lag of one keystroke
Reproducible with: 2021.2.0b17, 2021.2.1f1, 2022.1.0a13
Not reproducible with: 2019.4.32f1, 2020.3.22f1, 2021.1.28f1, 2021.2.0b16, 2022.1.0a12

OK, just updated to `2021.2.2` and there it's fixed.

Wow, this makes the editor unusable on MacOS right now, please make sure, this is fixed in the next update. We need `2021.2` for builds currently, but the editor isn't usable for working.

Me too, I have this issue on all the 2022.1.0 alpha versions. It's soooo annoying! Please fix it as soon as possible.

I also have this issue. Here are a few additional scenarios which might help identify the source:
1. Using the new Input System, this delay is also present in game.
2. This delay is not present when viewing Unity Preferences or Project settings -

Just upgraded to silicon version of 2021.2.0f1 unity editor. Working on Mac Mini m1. When change any value of position some keystrokes are not shown unless I enter another character or move / click mouse. So for instance, when I type 100 only 10 is shown. When I then hit TAB or move mouse it will show 100. Also the game view is having troubles with updating. So when I type 100 the inspector shows 10, the game view changes the position of the gameobject to 10. When I then hit TAB or for instance click with the mouse button, the inspector value gets updated to 100 and the gameobjects position changes as well.
