Spline Assets are shown as modified in Version control when entering Play mode
How to reproduce:
1. Clone the “test_spline“ repository
2. Open the project and enter “SampleScene“
3. Enter Play Mode and exit
4. Check the changes using “git status“
Expected result: Spline assets are not included in the changes
Actual result: modified: “SplineExtrude_Spline“ is seen
Reproducible with: 2.6.0 (2022.3.29f1), 2.6.1 (2022.3.50f1, 6000.0.23f1)
Not reproducible with: 2.5.2 (2021.3.44f1)
Reproducible on: macOS 14.6 (M1), Windows 10
Not reproducible on: No other environment tested
Notes:
- Clone the repository again for every test
- Sometimes the issue may reproduce when opening the scene (before entering Play mode)
- Could not find FAV due to errors in the older Editor versions
