"Slice on Import" checkbox resets to previous state when closing and opening the "Slice" menu
How to reproduce:
1. Open the “SpriteSliceBug.zip“ project
2. Select “Assets/Sprites/BUTTONS_SHEET_1.png“ in the Project window and press “Open Sprite Editor” in the Inspector
3. In the Sprite Editor, open the “Slice“ menu, and then click the button “Slice“
4. Close and open the “Slice“ menu again
5. Enable the “Slice on Import“ checkbox
6. Click off the menu, and then open it again
7. Observe the menu
Expected result: “Slice on Import“ is enabled
Actual result: “Slice on Import“ is disabled
Reproducible in: 6000.1.0a9, 6000.1.11f1, 6000.2.0b9, 6000.3.0a1
Could not test in: 2022.3.64f1, 6000.0.52f1, 6000.1.0a1 (No “Slice on Import“ checkbox)
Reproduced on: Windows 11 Pro (24H2)
Not reproduced on: No other environment tested
Notes:
- This issue persists even after closing the Sprite Editor window
- Even when the checkbox is disabled, the functionality is enabled and will re-slice the sprites anytime “Apply“ is pressed or the texture is reimported
