2. How we can reproduce it using the example you attached
1) Download/Open attached project
2) Setup Vive
3) Note OpenVR is preferred VR SDK
4) Note Single-Pass Stereo is enabled
5) Open the 'Sprite' Scene
6) Enter Playmode
7) Put on the Vive headset.
8) Look at the red sprite object
9) Observe the Sprite is not converging correctly (Looks off in one of the eyes). This is the bug.
Additional steps:
10) Alternate closing/opening your left, then your right eye to see the stereo discrepency.
11) Disable Single Pass Stereo to observe the correct behavior.

Version 5.4.0b19 (57f24ff20089)
