Severe visual artifacts happen in the Editor when using GrassFlow package assets with Compute Shader
How to reproduce:
1. Extract and open the attached “IN-108666.zip” project
2. In the project window, go to Assets → Scenes and open the “RxT_AltoLikeShooter“ Scene
3. In the Hierarchy, select the “Grassflow Mesh” GameObject
4. In the Inspector for the “Terrain Transform” select “Create Mesh 0_4_Mesh000 (transform)“
5. Disable “GrassFlow Renderer“
6. Disable “GrassFlow Mesh“
7. Enable “GrassFlow Mesh“
8. Enable “GrassFlow Renderer“
9. Press the “Refresh button“
10. Observe the Editor
Expected result: the Editor behaves as expected, buttons and tabs have correct icons
Actual result: the Editor starts producing visual artifacts, and some icons become pink squares or distorted
Reproducible with: 2022.3.64f1, 6000.0.0b16, 6000.0.54f1, 6000.1.13f1, 6000.2.0b11, 6000.3.0a2
Could not test with: 2023.1.0a1, 6000.0.0b15 (could not test with these versions due to package conflicts)
Reproducible on: MacOS 15.5 Silicon
Not reproducible on: Windows 10
Notes:
- This does not happen with the previous release “GrassFlow” (ver. 1.85), only reproducible with “GrassFlow 2” (ver. 2.8)
- In the attached video, it's not visible, but sometimes the issue affects the whole Editor
