Please understand my short English.
My case, in Profiler, using "GPU Usage" that Show '!query -> pending' error !!!
Turn off 'GPU Usage' in profiler, no error.

Two years later, and here I am having the same issue with Unity 5.3.4f. And no word about this problem anywhere I can find.

I'm getting a similar issue. It began to appear when I enabled my build for debugging on android.
I enabled Development Build, Autoconnect Profiler, and Script Debugging. It seems to (amazingly??) work even when I'm not connected to the computer, but occasionally running the app throws connection errors in the console. These errors and !query->pending seem to coincide, but not always.
In my current state, simply having the profiler open but not hitting play in the editor causes a !query-pending error in console every frame-like tick.
Cannot provide project or further details at this moment.
