Physics 2D Raycaster always overrides UI raycaster regardless of sorting layer settings



How to reproduce:

1. Open attached project
2. Open scene scene.unity
3. Play the scene
4. Select the EventSystem gameobject
5. Hover over the button where it intersects with the square and where it doesn't intersect
- Notice that where the square is intersecting the button, the "Current Raycast" displays that the square is the one getting in on the action
- Swapping their sorting layers results in the exact same behaviour (which is wrong)
