Passthrough shows Background color tint when Camera clear color alpha is set to 0
Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached project “ReproProject”
2. In the Inspector, set XR Origin's Main Camera Background to any color except black, set Alpha value to 0
3. Connect a Meta Quest device
4. Put on the headset
5. Enter Play Mode
Expected result: Clear Passthrough output is shown
Actual result: A faint tint of the selected color is shown on top of the Passthrough output
Reproducible in: 1.0.4 (6000.0.0b16), 2.4.0-pre.1 (6000.0.60f1, 6000.2.8f1, 6000.3.0b6, 6000.4.0a3)
Reproducible on: Windows 11
Not reproducible in: No other environments tested
Reproducible on devices:
- Oculus Quest 3 (Quest 3), CPU: Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 (SM8550), GPU: Adreno (TM) 740
- Oculus Quest 2 (Quest 2), CPU: Snapdragon XR2, GPU: Adreno 650
Notes:
- Also reproducible in Player for Meta Quest
- Main Camera GameObject is located in ARF XR Origin Set UP → XR Origin → CameraOffset → Main Camera. Background color selector is located in the Environment section of the Camera component of the Main Camera GameObject
- Reproducible in URP and BiRP
