Repro
1. Import projects e.g. from Asset Store
"Unity Essentials/Sample Projects/Mecanim Example Scenes",
"Unity Essentials/Sample Projects/The Courtyard".

Several errors like that "Package does not contain valid asset for: ProjectSettings/Physics2DSettings.asset" appears in the console
