"Only directional lights have shadows in forward rendering" appears when using vertex lit or deffered lighting
To reproduce:
1. Open "project 30"
2. Open scene "test 1"
3. Select Main Camera and change the rendering path to vertex lit
4. Select the gameobjects in the scene - they are lights and have show the message, though vertex lit rendering is being used. Only the directional light is not showing the warning.
