Objects cannot be assigned in the Inspector when serialized field is derived from base class
How to reproduce:
1. Open the user's attached project
2. Open scene Scenes/EnemyCreationScene
3. In the Hierarchy window, select "Boss Room"
4. In the Inspector window, attempt to drag and drop a GameObject into the Test field of the "Boss Room (Script)" component
Expected result: Transform cannot be assigned to the Test field
Actual result: Transform can be assigned to the Test field
Reproducible with: 2019.4.36f1, 2020.3.31f1, 2021.2.16f1, 2022.1.0b12, 2022.2.0a8
