“NullReferenceException” thrown when moving control points on a tree branch in Scene view
Steps to reproduce:
1. Create Unity project using HDRP Template
2. Create a Tree in Hierarchy window (3D Object > Tree)
3. In the Inspector window select Branch Group in Tree Component
4. Press button to Add Branch Group
5. When new branch is added to the tree press on a round control points in the Scene view
6. Observe the Console window
Actual results: “NullReferenceException” errors are spammed in the Console when trying to move control points on a tree
Expected results: No errors when trying to move control points on a tree
Reproducible with versions: 6000.0.50f1, 6000.1.4f1, 6000.2.0b3
Tested on (OS): macOS Silicon Sequoia 15.3

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. After reviewing the report, we wanted to inform you that this behavior is by design.
Currently, Tree Creator is not supported in HDRP, as it was designed for use with the Built-in Render Pipeline. For URP and HDRP, the workaround is to import from SpeedTree.
