NullReferenceException is thrown when typing in the Hierarchy window search bar
How to reproduce:
1. Create a new project
2. Type one letter in the Hierarchy window search bar
Expected result: No error is thrown in the Console
Actual result: NullReferenceException error is thrown in the Console
Reproducible with: 2020.3.21f1, 2021.1.26f1, 2021.2.0b17, 2022.1.0a12
Not reproducible with: 2019.4.31f1
Note:
- Sometimes the Hierarchy search yields no results when providing a name for a Component present in a Scene (was able to reproduce once in 2021.1.17f1)
- The issue reproduces once per session
- Only reproduces on macOS
