Mecanim animation + the Unity sponsored UMA framework will result in foot sliding across the floor during animation.
To reproduce:
1. Open attached project
2. Open Scene02
3. Open Locomotion animator
4. Choose Run.
5. Change speed to around 0.1.
6.Run the scene
7. Press upper-arrow to run
8. The animation is sliding on the ground slightly when running
9. When you choose Locomotion->Run->Blend Tree, the animation is behaving properly, not like in the scene view
