[Mac] Package Manager fsync error is thrown when creating a Unity project on SMB shared directory
How to reproduce:
1. Create an SMB shared directory
2. Create a new Unity project on this shared directory
Expected results: A project is successfully created
Actual results: A message box with Package Manager fsync error text is shown
Reproducible with: 2018.2.0b8, 2018.4.6f1, 2019.1.14f1, 2019.2.1f1, 2019.3.0a11
Not reproducible with: 2017.4.31f1, 2018.2.0b7
Additional notes:
1. Windows version of Unity Hub can't find the shared directory, even though it is mounted in the system
2. A project is created, but launching it crashes the Unity Editor
3. A test SMB share has been created on a Windows 10 machine

I am seeing this in 2018.4.6f1 on macOS 10.13.6 and 10.14.6 with projects created on SMB shares (version 2.1 hosted on Windows 2008R2 servers but after talking to the person who submitted this bug, that doesn't seem to make much difference).
