1. Download user's project and open in Unity
2. Open "Scene" scene
3. Enter Play mode

Expected: no errors in the console
Actual: error appears in the console

Reproduced on: 2017.1.0a6; 2017.1.3p2; 2017.2.2p1; 2017.3.2f1; 2018.1.0b12; 2018.2.0a5
Not reproduced on: 5.6.5p3; 2017.1.0a5

  1. Resolution Note:

    Issue appears then trying to load an assembly and it fails on newer Unity versions. It is a project specific problem that might be related to the user doing something outside the bounds of what Unity supports.

    Nothing there that tells me why this error suddenly occurs on a previously working project.
