  1. Resolution Note:

The new iPadOS 26 introduces new ways multitasking works on iPads. The change comes from Apple with new guidelines and expected behaviours that are dictated by Apple. The new behaviours differ from what was in previous iPadOS versions and Unity apps running on iPadOS 26 are presented slightly differently, but it is in line with Apple's requirements. For more details on how Unity apps work with Apple's multitasking modes you can read documentation: https://docs.unity3d.com/6000.5/Documentation/Manual/iphone-API.html

Highly frustrating, I’m trying to build an app that uses the device tilt. Until this bug is fixed I am frozen in development. The worst part, I don’t want the device to rotate at all and I can’t even disable it.

This also leads the app to fully hang when rotated from landscape to portrait mode (only works in landscape mode when rotating back)
