Interface fails to initially call method, succeeds on second try
Reproduction steps:
1. Open "MinimalRepro.zip" project
2. Enter Play mode
3. Click "Next" until you encounter a conversation
Expected Result: Upon the start of the conversation, the character icon appears
Actual Result: The character icon appears after the first stage of the dialogue
Reproduced with: 2018.1.0b3, 2018.1.0a7, 2017.3.0f1, 2017.2.0p4, 2017.1.2p3, 5.6.4p4, 5.5.5p2
Did not reproduce on: 5.4.6f3(Not compatable with project)

Resolution Note:
This particular case has been investigated thoroughly and we have decided, in the interests of protecting the stability and features of Unity for users that rely upon the affected versions, to not address this fix for the time being. We understand that this will cause problems for some users, and so may address in a future version.
