IME input does not work with Input System when using Chinese (Simplified) input
How to reproduce:
1. Download and open the attached "My project (61)" project
2. Change your keyboard input type to Chinese (Simplified)
3. Enter "Play" mode
4. Click on the input field
5. Type in a few letters and choose a sign from the IME pop-up
6. Observe the input field
Expected outcome: the selected sign is typed in
Actual outcome: the selected sign is not typed in
Reproducible with: 2021.3.30f1 (1.6.3), 2022.3.9f1 (1.8.0-pre.1), 2023.1.12f1 (1.8.0-pre.1), 2023.2.0b8 (1.8.0-pre.1), 2023.3.0a4 (1.8.0-pre.1)
