[Hierarchy V2] Making changes to a nested Game Object does not give an option to apply the changes to the Child objects
Steps to reproduce:
- Open the attached project
- Open the Test Scene
- Select the "GameObject" in the Hierachy
- In the Inspector window, change the Layer to Water
- Observe the Pop-up asking if changes should be applied to child objects as well
- Click Cancel
- In the Hierarchy window, expand the Layer Column's Drop-Down menu for the GameObject
- Select the Water Layer
Actual results: Layer changes are only applied to the Parent object. No option is given to apply the changes to the child objects like when using the Inspector window
Expected results: An option is presented to apply the changes to the child objects like when using the Inspector window
Reproducible with versions: 6000.3.0a2, 6000.3.0a5
Can’t test with versions: 6000.0.56f1, 6000.1.16f1, 6000.2.1f1, 6000.3.0a1 (Hierarchy V2 not available)
Tested on (OS): macOS 15.6, Ubuntu 24
Notes:
- Also affects Static and Tag fields
