Resolution Note (2021.2.X):
This crash occurred on a PC with both an onboard Intel HD Graphics 530 (driver 27.20.100.8682, dated 9/5/2020) and an NVIDIA 1080. The NVIDIA card was being used to run the Unity Editor; the onboard graphics was not connected to a monitor. However, upgrading to driver 27.20.100.9466, dated 3/30/2021, alleviated the crash.
