HDRP Custom Pass differently controls how the Editor renders the objects in a Scene when using DX12 compared to DX11
Reproduction steps:
1. Open the attached project "ReproProj"
2. Open the “/Assets/Scenes/SeeThrough.unity” Scene
3. Observe the Scene view
Expected result: Green dots are present only where other objects cover the “Generator_01 (1)“ Prefab
Actual result: The whole prefab is covered in green dots
Reproducible with: 2023.3.0a11, 6000.0.31f1, 6000.1.0a8
Not reproducible with: 2022.3.54f1, 2023.3.0a10
Testing environment: Windows 10 Enterprise 21H2
Not reproducible on: No other environment tested
Note:
- Not reproducible with DX11

Resolution Note:
Hello, the issue is in the stencil shader used to write the stencil bit in the first pass of the see through effect. On DirectX12, settings a reference value of -1 is not supported, I fixed it by setting it to 255 instead.
I fixed the issue in the custom pass repository as well: https://github.com/alelievr/HDRP-Custom-Passes/commit/3bca3be0264d0a2e7142ed03468dd1447e49680a
