    Hi Unity team,

could you merge it back at least to the latest version for 2018, 2019, 2020? Or is this issue not available on those latest versions? For us developers every major Unity upgrade is a pain and lot of work, I need at least 1 Month psychology treatment after... (You know, lot of assets must support that version, often fails like substance, new bugs, and so on.) I'm working in a serious company, we do merge back bugfixes at least for major releases. Else our clients could say, you are not able to bring out a single stable release.

    Ciao,
    Helmut K.
