[DX12][Editor] When switching to DX11 from DX12 Unity will crash
Steps to repro:
Open unity with DirectX 12 enabled (-allow-d3d12)
Open project
1. Open Scene "Large scene"
2. Make sure the editor is running DX12
3. Hit play, then stop
4. Change back to DX11
5. Crash
Tested in 5.3.0B6 - Does not crash, however near complete loss of editor does occur. You are able to save the scene still however.
Tested in 5.2.2f1 - Same result as 5.3
